My name is Matt Runkle and I like art that is tactile, that tells a story, that makes use of images and text.

I'm a book artist who makes letterpress broadsides and books constructed from found materials. I work as a TA at Mills College's Book Art Program, where I’m lucky to have access to their studios, and where I teach workshops on visual narrative, sequential collage, and zines.

I recently finished writing a novel titled Twos and am currently at work on a collection of short fiction.

I also make a zine called Runx Tales. Sometimes it's about my life, but I manage to not make it boring. It's available from Last Gasp, Parcell Press, False Start, or Microcosm.
