Tarpaulin Kingdom (2011)
Unique-edition artist book
Collage and drawings on recycled card stock in a repurposed bible case

What if Walt Disney didn't have the drive, resources, or charm necessary to realize and foist his creations on millions? What if he was a lonely dreamer in a one-room apartment with nothing but a notebook and an imaginary, magic-starved soccer mom as his muse? Each day he scrawls out plans for a magic kingdom: drawings and scraps that carry the mom from diversion to diversion, a blueprint that, because of the lonely dreamer's obscurity, remains confined to his notes. The Tarpaulin Kingdom can only materialize when a reader one day happens on this notebook and begins to turn its pages.
